Move-In Day kicks off Welcome Week 2017, a series of events for students who will live in the university’s residence halls and apartments.
Fees to live on campus range from $7,800 to $10,000, depending on where a student lives and how many are in each room. Some rooms require additional costs for meals.
“We look at our rates compared to living in the area and try to be cheaper,” Yaun said.
Students at UC Riverside, the region’s other public university will have Move-in Day on Sunday, Sept. 24, with classes starting the next day.
