Two vehicles collided late Saturday evening, Dec. 2, in what was described as a major-injury crash on Van Buren Boulevard in Jurupa Valley, according to a Riverside County Sheriff’s news release.
One vehicle was northbound on Van Buren when the driver lost control and the vehicle crossed over the center median, colliding with a southbound vehicle near 56th Street at about 11:21 p.m., the release stated.
Alcohol and/or drug impairment appeared to be a factor in the collision. Information was not immediately available about how many people were transported to hospitals for treatment.
The Jurupa Valley traffic collision reconstruction team is handling the investigation.
