Man found shot in a vehicle in Rialto; later dies at hospital

Rialto police are investigating the shooting death of a man on Saturday.

At about 1:11 p.m., Rialto Police responded to a call about shots fired at the 700 block of East Foothill Boulevard, a press statement from Rialto police said. When they arrived at the scene, officers found a 47-year-old male in a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound.

The man was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, where he later died from his injuries.

Information on any possible suspect or the circumstances of the shooting was not immediately available.
