Friends, family and law enforcement officials in Riverside, Orange and Los Angeles counties continued searching on Sunday, Dec. 2, for an 80-year-old man who went missing from his home in Idyllwild last week.
Relatives have found no trace of David Bradish, 80, since he was reported missing from a residence near the 54500 block of North Circle Drive by his wife, Linda, on Monday, Nov. 26, according to the missing man’s daughter-in-law, Jenni Bradish.
She said he suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, and may have gotten lost while walking his dog, a brown cocker spaniel named Ginger. Bradish may still be with the dog, and was described as a 6-feet-tall man weighing 180 pounds with gray hair and blue eyes.
Deputies from the Hemet Sheriff Station have been working tirelessly in the search for David Elliot Bradish.

He was last seen wearing glasses with a black jacket, pants, baseball hat and shoes. He may be carrying a large amount of pet waste bags that sometimes stick out of his pockets, according to relatives.
Bradish does not drive, but family members say he is physically fit for his age and capable of walking long distances. They are worried that the man may have asked somebody for a ride to one of his previous residences.
They said he had just moved to Idyllwild after 12 years of living at the Huntington Landmark retirement community in Huntington Beach. He was known to frequent Lemonade at Pacific City, In-N-Out and Mama’s Cafe, said his daughter-in-law. He had also previously lived in Long Beach.
He is often reluctant to ask for or accept help, and may not admit to strangers that he is lost, according to relatives. However, they said Bradish has been married for 58 years and is extremely attached to his wife, so he reacts positively if she is mentioned.
“If you ask him ‘Are you Dave Bradish? Are you looking for Linda,’ he’ll be more likely to respond,” said Jenni Bradish. “Since the onset of his Alzheimer’s, all he wants is to be with Linda.”
She added that her father-in-law’s dog, Ginger, was recently diagnosed with a spinal tumor, and had been on steroid medication that would have worn off by now. The animal may exhibit decreased mobility.
As temperatures drop moving into the winter months, relatives are increasingly concerned for the elderly man’s well being. They are calling on anyone who may have spotted Bradish to contact authorities immediately with fresh leads.
“I feel like he’s out there somewhere,” said Jenni Bradish. “We’ve got someone searching every day since he’s been gone.”
Anyone with information regarding the missing man’s whereabouts should contact the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department at 951-791-3400, or 951-776-1099 during non-regular business hours.
