Fantasy football players to watch in Week 15 in the NFL

FANTASY PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Robert Woods, WR, Rams. Only the Saints are giving up more fantasy points to receivers than the Eagles, and Woods has been about as consistent of a points producer as they come at the receiver position. That’s a potentially lucrative combination for a crucial fantasy matchup. Even when the Rams passing game has stumbled recently, Woods has produced. But there’s no such cause for concern this week, given the Eagles incompetence on the perimeter. With Woods playing more in the slot, his role is even more crucial to getting the Rams back on rhythm.

Quarterback: Jared Goff, QB, Rams. Goff has not looked like himself lately. There’s no denying that. But the Eagles secondary has a way of making quarterbacks look Hall of Fame-bound, so if there’s any time to bounce back, this is the week.

Running back: Dalvin Cook, RB, Vikings. Minnesota has leaned desperately on the passing game, to no avail. So it’s stands to reason that with their offensive coordinator now fired, they should refocus on the run. Cook has done well as a receiver, and he’ll only score more if he racks up carries on the ground.

Wide receiver: Amari Cooper, WR, Cowboys. OK, this might be an obvious one. If you own Cooper, you’re not taking him out of your lineup right now, even in a negative matchup against the Colts. But it’s worth mentioning just how good he’s been: No wideout in fantasy has scored more since he was traded to Dallas.

Tight end: Ian Thomas, TE, Panthers. Greg Olsen’s replacement has been crucial to Carolina’s offense since Olsen’s injury, seeing 16 targets over the last two weeks. If you don’t have one of the top five players at the position, you could do worse than snagging Thomas on waivers.
