A.J. Pollock, Russell Martin hit home runs in Dodgers’ loss to Indians



THE GAME: J.T. Chargois surrendered a two-run home run to Eric Haase in the seventh inning and the Cleveland Indians came from behind to beat the Dodgers 4-2 Tuesday night at Camelback Ranch.

PITCHING REPORT: In his first game action of the spring, right-hander Walker Buehler pitched into the third inning on 46 pitches. He allowed ground-ball singles to the first two batters he faced then nothing until a two-out single in the third inning. He was pulled at that point and the runner scored when Yimi Garcia gave up two more hits. Buehler struck out two and hit 98-99 mph on the radar gun with his fastball. … Pedro Baez had a sloppy inning, allowing a single, two stolen bases and hitting a batter before retiring the side.

HITTING REPORT: A.J. Pollock and Russell Martin hit solo home runs in the fourth inning for the Dodgers’ only runs. … Pollock also had a double (and was thrown out trying to stretch it into a triple). He is batting .268 (11 for 41) in the spring with two homers and three doubles. … Martin has played just nine games this spring due to lower back pain. He is batting .250 (6 for 24) with two home runs in that time.
