Small plane crashes into Upland home, setting it on fire



A small plane crashed into a home in Upland shortly after 11 a.m. Thursday, authorities reported.

San Bernardino County firefighters at the scene said everyone in the home was accounted for. They arrived at the scene to find a single-store home with fire coming through the roof.

There was no immediate word on the the pilot or anyone else aboard the plane.

Upland Police Chief Darren Goodman said in a tweet the incident was in the area of West 15th Street and North Mountain Avenue. He asked people to stay out of the area.
