Man dead after assault with deadly weapon in Moreno Valley

A man died on Sunday after an assault with a deadly weapon in Moreno Valley and the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department was investigating it as a homicide.

The Sheriff’s Department said the incident happened at around 11:25 p.m., in the 22900 block of Adrienne Avenue.

When deputies got to the scene, they found a man with a life-threatening injury, officials said. He was given medical attention until medical personnel arrived. The man was transported to a local hospital, where he died.

The man’s identity was being withheld until his family is notified of his death.

Authorities said the suspect or suspects involved in the incident left before deputies arrived. The Sheriff’s Department asked anyone with information on the homicide to call it at 951-955-2777.
