Disney California Adventure will partially reopen for shopping and dining along Buena Vista Street following the state issuing theme park reopening guidelines that could keep major California theme parks closed until early 2021 or next summer.
Buena Vista Street will reopen in November as part of the Downtown Disney outdoor shopping district while the rest of Disney California Adventure remains closed, according to Disney officials.

Disneyland, DCA and Disney’s three Anaheim hotels closed in mid-March and remain closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Downtown Disney reopened in July.
Buena Vista Street shoppers can browse Elias & Co., Julius Katz & Sons and Kingswell Camera Shop. Diners can grab a bite at Carthay Circle Lounge, Smokejumpers Grill, Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Cafe and Trolley Treats. Vending carts along Buena Vista Street will offer popcorn, churros, ice cream and other treats.
Smokejumpers Grill will serve a streamlined menu of burgers, fries and craft beer. More details will be released soon on reservations for Carthay Circle Lounge.

Mobile wait lists may be used at times for restaurants and shops on Buena Vista Street.
No rides, entertainment or character meet-and-greets will be available in DCA while Buena Vista Street is open for shopping and dining. No admission fee will be charged to enter DCA to shop and dine.
The opening of Buena Vista Street in November follows the introduction of the new Backlot Premiere pop-up shop in early October as an extension of Downtown Disney in the Stage 17 building in Disney California Adventure.
Downtown Disney has adapted several locations to sell theme park memorabilia while Disneyland and DCA remain closed.
The WonderGround Gallery retail space in Downtown Disney has been transformed into a pop-up Star Wars Trading Post selling once-exclusive Galaxy’s Edge merchandise.
The former ESPN Zone has been converted into a reservations-only shopping destination for limited-edition Disneyland collectibles.
Downtown Disney has hit capacity within minutes after opening on many weekend days — with shoppers arriving by car turned away before they can even enter the parking lot. Weekend wait times have stretched to 90 minutes to get into Downtown Disney and up to 2 hours for World of Disney and Marceline’s candy shop, according to MiceChat.
